Reiki Treatment Methods
Reiki energy (also known as spiritual medicine) is an outstanding and always ready resource in the hands of those who have received Reiki attunements. They can use it to heal, or use it for their spiritual development, and treat the patient physical, emotional and mental illnesses. There are various methods to use Reiki for various reasons. Reiki can be used with any of the following techniques for physical and mental healing:
Hands-on Method (Level-1)
It is called the “hands-on” method because the Reiki practitioner must place hands on the recipient’s body physically. Understanding how Reiki treatment is done is important for the recipient. It is a simple and effective but strong method and is generally done with the recipient lying fully clothed on a treatment couch or table. No rubbing, pressing, pulling or massaging patient, etc. is engaged. The physician places the hands on the head of the recipient in different positions on the body and channels the energy of Reiki through chakra points. This allows the energy to flow straight to the problem’s source, not just the symptoms that manifest.
Reiki Treatment Guidelines
The fundamental technique of providing Reiki method is hands-on method, which is learned in the course of First Degree Reiki. This implies that Reiki is treated by placing hands on the patient body. It is done with the recipient lying on a treatment couch/table or bed fully clothed. A daily treatment session generally begins from the head and travels to the feet by placing hands on the body in distinct positions. Each particular position of the hand has its own particular purpose, which you as a Reiki practitioner should know. You should also understand which of these hand roles are vital or optional, but I would skip that information for this page if your Reiki teacher had already taught you everything during your Reiki practice.
It is perfect in a friendly and comfortable atmosphere to give a full body Reiki treatment so that the patient can take complete advantage of it with a relaxed mind and appreciate it. If you plan to run your Reiki Clinic, have the perfect couch/table for treatment on which the patient can sit comfortably. Reiki can still be given if the time available is too short because some Reiki is better than no Reiki session.
You should apply all the hand positions for a complete body Reiki session, but sometimes you may skip a specific hand position depending on the treatment and this would not result in an incomplete session. Before starting a regular complete body session, during and even after the session, there are several points that the physician must maintain in mind.
You have to wash your hands before the session, for instance, because you will place your hands on the patient face. Wash your hands even after the Reiki session as the last position of your hand is on patient feet. You should also be comfortable during the session so that you are not unnecessarily tired.
Sometimes people are asking for a Reiki session demonstration. Reiki practitioner should try to educate the people who are asking for stage performance and make it clear how Reiki works and how healing takes place. You should clarify how the treatment is provided, but remember that Reiki is intended for healing, not for performance on stage. A treatment session with Reiki isn’t a magic show. Clear their misunderstandings and use Reiki to heal patient not impress them.
Getting Reiki Treatment
While receiving Reiki treatment from a practitioner is okay, we highly recommend that you consider yourself learning Reiki for simple self-care. Learning will allow you to treat yourself at home very conveniently and thus save not only traveling problems but also treatment fees. This option is best suited for those who require long-term daily treatment for a complex or chronic issue. You may also have a member of your family attuned to give you regular home treatment. If you are attracted to receive the treatment, however, we give Reiki treatment for both acute and chronic conditions.
